  • African American and Black

    African American Village - From IMDiversity.com, this site provides valuable information on career opportunities as well as the tools needed to survive and succeed in America's workplace.

    Black Collegian Online - is the electronic version of the 26-year-old national career opportunities magazine, including information about careers and graduate and professional schools as well as a place to post your resume.

    IMDiversity.com - is dedicated to providing career and self-development information to all minorities, specifically African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and women. It provides access to a large database of equal opportunity employers committed to workplace diversity.

    The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) - Though the site is designed for students in technical fields, the information on programs, career fairs, and other activities, as well as the tools and articles, may be helpful for Hampshire students in cognitive science and natural science.

    UNCF - Search through hundreds of scholarship and grant programs administered by the United Negro College Fund.

  • Asian American Pacific Islander

    Asian American Journalist Association - Contains listings for fellowships, scholarships, and job resources.

    Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund protects and promotes the civil rights of Asian Americans by combining litigation, advocacy, education, and organizing.

    Career India - A “community-based” site with emphasis on personal and social interests. There are international job listings, news, sports, social, and entertainment pages. No helpful career articles, though you can register your resume and conduct a job search.

    IMDiversity.com is dedicated to providing career and self-development information to all minorities, specifically African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and women. It provides access to a large database of equal opportunity employers committed to workplace diversity.

    Korean American League for Civic Action - Provides leadership training and civic education through a college internship program, educational program, leadership development program, and voter education and mobilization project.

    The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) - A non-profit organization where Asian American professionals across the country work together to enhance Asian American leadership in careers and the communities where they live. There is a focus on professional development: panels, workshops, and seminars. As a non-profit organization, it promotes the active participation of Asian Americans in society through community service.     Hispanic Network Magazine - AHispanic career and lifestyle site featuring articles, links, and networking services designed to link you with top employers seeking to expand and diversify their workforce. It's free.

    iHispano - Helps Hispanics and bilingual professionals find new jobs and careers. Job seekers can post resumes and/or search jobs (by keywords, location, job category, and salary). Also includes some career advice. Free to job seekers.

    LatPro.com - Ajob source for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking managers and professionals. Job seekers can post their resumes anonymously, receive emails instantly announcing new job opportunities that match their profiles and read expert advice on job seeking. A QuintCareers.com partner. Free to job seekers.

    Saludos Hispanos focuses on career development. Research career fields, read mentor profiles, look at career guides, and get information on jobs and internships via links. There is some information on scholarships, although most are for students just out of high school or not currently enrolled in college or university. View job listings from employers who are actively recruiting qualified Hispanics for positions in their companies.

  • LGBTQIA+

    GLBT Scholarship Resources - Links to scholarship databases, study abroad programs, and GLBT organizations and information.
    Idealist - Provides a list of GLBT-related non-profit organizations where you might find internships and jobs! Use Key Search on “gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender” or L/G/B/T issues” to find over 500 agencies in the U.S.A. There are also GLBT-related agencies located worldwide, accessible by this site.

    KarMel Scholarship - A “Gay, Lesbian, Bi, and Transgender” Themed Scholarship awards money for written and artistic submissions.

    GLAAD(Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) - Tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD protects all that has been accomplished and creates a world where everyone can live the life they love.

    The Human Rights Campaign - Offers a wide-range of job opportunities as well as a multidisciplinary internship program.

    The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center - Provides “a home for the birth, nurture, and celebration of our organizations, institutions, and culture; cares for our individuals and groups in need; educates the public and our community; and empowers our individuals and groups to achieve their fullest potential.” Lots of information and links to other organizations and programs. The site also includes employment and volunteering pages.

    The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has worked to eliminate prejudice, violence, and injustice against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people at the local, state, and national level since its inception in 1973. NGLTF has graduate and undergraduate internships available each school session for college and university students or recent graduates, covering a variety of disciplines. Internships are generally located in the Washington, D.C. office; however, a limited number of positions may be available at staff locations in Cambridge, MA, and New York, NY, depending on availability and applicant qualifications.     A1,000 + page website, designed for general audiences, that provides listings and links to a variety of resources for information and services. Navigate the site by geographical region or by topic. A click on “Support Organizations” leads to a geographical breakdown. Choose a location and you will be taken to a number of organizations, each with its own website. Helpful if you are interested in moving to a new area or looking for work or internships with a support organization.

    Scott Hitt Foundation - Believes that the obstacles facing full LGBT equality are enormous. Confronting and eliminating these obstacles will require a new generation of activists to launch, lead, and work within organizations that will ultimately prevail in the battle for full equality. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the next generation of community leaders to receive a solid foundation in development and leadership skills in order to achieve future success. The program offerings of the R. Scott Hitt Foundation during your second year is focused solely on undergraduate and graduate internships.

    The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES)-The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is a national, nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other indigenous peoples of North America in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies and careers.

    Native Jobs.com-Lists openings by category, including human services, education, health, and science. Announces new employer contributions to the list.

    Careerplacejobs- Serves the U.S. and Canada. Sponsored by Native Women's Association of Canada, it was developed to assist Aboriginal people in finding meaningful employment and for Canadian businesses to reach qualified and skilled Aboriginal job seekers.

    The Smithsonian Institution Native American Awards Program - Award that supports Native American community scholars, visiting students, and interns to work and study at the Smithsonian Institution.

    The Northwest Tribal Recruitment Project Networks with 43 northwest tribes to recruit and place health care professionals into tribal health care facilities and programs.

    HireDiversity.com -Facilitate excellence in diversity recruitment by bringing together human resources professionals with quality, prescreened, multicultural and/or bilingual professional candidates from diverse backgrounds.
