Positions
Orientation Leaders aide new students and families in their transition to »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Community College. Through a variety of experiences and opportunities, Orientation Leaders have the power to make a positive and lasting difference in the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Community. You will develop great leadership and resume building skills in the process. These are paid positions.
Orientation Leader Duties
- Serve as official ambassador to the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ campus
- Serve as a positive role model to new students and their families
- Develop an expanded knowledge of »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ
- Conduct campus tours for new students, schools, classes, and guests
- Represent »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ during college events
- Assist with organization, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the New Student Orientation cycle and related programs and events
- Acquaint new students with campus services, activities, facilities, and campus rules and regulations
- Follow-up with student connections
- Work with diverse populations
- Work on calling campaigns
- Provide tips on being a successful student
- Assist with variety of office related tasks
- Demonstrating a high standard of professionalism at all times
- Demonstrate strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline and enthusiasm
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Possess an enthusiastic, positive attitude and be willing and eager to provide excellent customer service
- Provide office support to the Student Engagement Center
- Attend leadership training
- Most importantly, must want to have fun
Minimum qualifications: Must be a »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Student and able to work flexible hours.
